Shipping - Reason for Delays
– Sun, Dec 04, 2016 at 11:44:42 PM
Hey everyone,
Unfortunately we are having delays in shipment, we had some problems regarding the regulations and taxes in China.
However we have been working hard with our shipping partners to solve this. We are moving everything to a Hong Kong warehouse and shipping from there, this will allow us to use a better postal service that meets all regulations.
Again sorry for the delay, the dice are ready and hopefully this will be sorted soon.
Thanks

UPDATE YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IF IT HAS CHANGED (IMPORTANT)
Before we ship we need everyone to make sure your shipping address is up to date. So we will be sending a reminder out today and give everyone 1 week to update. Just check your inbox for the survey link. If you don't see the link please message us. If you address has not changed, you do not need to do anything.
Shipments will start to go out next week and should take about 12- 18 days to arrive depending on location. Be patient we will make sure you get your dice.
ALL DICE COME IN POWER SAVING MODE
When you recieve your LUMA DICE they will be in power saving mode. This means that when you roll it, they will only light up for 1 second in one color. All you need to do is tap on the dice for 10 seconds continuously (tap the #2 side). To change color modes just tap again for 10 seconds.
GOLD DICE (BRASS) STILL NOT COMPLETE BUT YOU CAN CHANGE COLOR.
Unfortunately the gold dice is still not complete to our satisfaction, and it may still take a few weeks. The color is just not right. However anyone who has chosen this (about 300 backers) can switch to another color. That way you don't have to wait. We will message you individually. Also if you still want gold later on we will offer this to you a heavliy discounted price when they are ready.
D20 ;)
Yes we are still planning to release LUMA D20, of course we have spent the majority of our time making sure LUMA D6 is complete. But now we are starting to focus some of our attention on D20. It would be great to hear any ideas you have on this and we may even send out a survey for feedback. Now is your chance to tell us what you would like in LUMA D20.

We really want to thank you again for your support and most importantly your patience. We know it's been a long wait.

LUMA DICE UPDATE October
– Wed, Oct 19, 2016 at 07:21:29 PM
Hey everyone,
Just an update for LUMA DICE October!
Everything is moving forward in terms of production, but still going slower than we would like. The factory had to re-color a few of the dice because we were not happy with the color.
We apologize for the delays, the information we get given is by the factory and everyday things are getting done but not a fast as we would like. Right now all units have been anodized (i.e. colors).
The GOLD dice - (brass) are still being polished because we were not happy with the color. Although this will not stop the other ones from shipping. Brass is only 800 of the 23,000 units we are making.
New deadline is November 15th according to factory, where everything should be done and shipping can begin.
We apologize for the delay, we know it's very frustrating. But rest assured it is on they way!
Anodized dice, ready to assemble
ASSEMBLY & TESTING
Every dice that gets assembled goes through testing. To check LED's are working correctly and the sensors also. This way there is a low chance of anyone receiving a dice that are not working or damaged etc.
We have also been continuously rolling, throwing, dropping and pretty much doing everything we can try and break the dice to see how well they hold up. First test how high can we drop it? Second how hard can we throw it? So far we are very impressed. Although we don't recommend you do that haha.
SHIPPING
If you have changed your address don't worry we will be sending out a reminder about 1 week before we ship.
ONE MORE THING (25% off LUMA DICE)
As requested by you and to say thank you, we are offering Kickstarter Backers + Friends & Family of Kickstarter Backers a one time offer of 25% off LUMA DICE.
Just go to our website www.lumadice.com and use the coupon code "lumafriends"
This will be the last chance to get LUMA DICE at this price and it's only for a short time.
Thanks again for your support and patience.
We understand that another delay is not the news you wanted to hear, in fact it is the opposite. But we are doing the best we can and trying to get things done as soon as possible.
Best,

LUMA DICE UPDATE - SEPTEMBER
– Wed, Sep 07, 2016 at 12:25:59 AM
Hi everyone,
Just an update on manufacturing for LUMA DICE. Right now we just finished the anodizing (adding color to the dice). This process took a little longer than expected but then again it was over 23,000 dice.
Red anodized dice
We are now moving into assembly of circuit board into aluminum dice, and then packing into boxes. The process has already started and hopefully wont take too long. Our manufacturer tells us 2-3 weeks.
We apologize again for the delay, we are doing everything we can to speed up the process. But we are 100% satisfied with the end result.
Below is the updated timeline of our production:
1. Circuit board with all components (COMPLETE)
2. Programmed all boards (COMPLETE)
3. PACKAGING BOXES & MATERIAL (COMPLETE)
4. DICE STAND & DICE BAGS (COMPLETE)
5. CNC DICE (COMPLETE)
6. ANDODIZE DICE (COMPLETE) 4 weeks
7. ASSEMBLY DICE (IN PROGRESS) - 2-3 weeks
9. SHIPPING (NOT COMPLETE) - 1 week
More anodized dice
SHIPPING
If you need to update your address don't worry we will send out a email 1 week before we ship to update your address if you need. We will let you know when we send this out.
Thanks again for your support and patience.
We understand the frustration of the delays, and thank you for understanding. It really came down to one process in the chain which should have taken only 30 days which has taken over 100+ days. So we apologize for that it's not fair to all of you.
Thanks again, we appreciate it!

LUMA DICE UPDATE - AUGUST
– Tue, Aug 09, 2016 at 12:28:01 AM
Hi Backers,
Just an update on LUMA DICE for August.
We have been held up by the CNC'ing of over 20,000 dice. At first we were told this would take 15 days. We budgeted 40 days into our plan but it has been over 90 days! So of course we are very frustrated it has taken so long especially when they told us it would only take about 2 weeks.
On the plus side the quality of all the units is fantastic and we are extremely happy with the end result. So although the wait is longer than we would like at least it has not affected the standard of quality.
Right now they are anodizing (coloring) all remaining CNC dice which should take about 2 weeks. Then we are onto the final stages of assembly, packaging and shipping.
Below is the timeline of our production:
1. Circuit board with all components (COMPLETE)
2. Programmed all boards (COMPLETE)
3. PACKAGING BOXES & MATERIAL (COMPLETE)
4. DICE STAND & DICE BAGS (COMPLETE)
5. CNC DICE (COMPLETE)
6. ANDODIZE DICE (IN PROCESS) 2 weeks
7. ASSEMBLY DICE (NOT COMPLETE) - 2 weeks
9. SHIPPING (NOT COMPLETE) - 1 week
